Denmark has been working to optimise the utilisation of solar energy for both heat and power production among other renewables. The Danish Government has the target of solar district heating to grow by 1.4 TWh-thermal in 2020, 2.7 TWh-thermal by in 2030 and 7 TWh in 2050.
As a result of the booming Danish know-how and market size within smart grid and design, several foreign companies within the solar business have recently established in Denmark such as; Solarpark Rodenäs, Sunrider Solar and MHH Solartechnik; with the assistance of Invest in Denmark.
