Wind PowerDenmark has a long tradition of exploiting wind power. With striking research results during the last 25 years, more than 30 percent of today's Danish electricity consumption is produced by means of wind power, and the goal is to reach 50% by 2020.

More than 20% of world's wind turbines were supplied by Danish-based companies in 2012 and 80 percent of the world's offshore wind turbines are either Danish produced or have Danish developed foundations and components. Throughout the value chain companies are conducting technology development in Denmark. Off-shore developers, turbine manufacturers, system suppliers, offshore specialists, research institutions and test centres are all part of the innovative cycle of the Danish cluster thriving at making wind power better and more cost efficient.
